His award-winning thought leadership has been published widely and he is a regular contributor to the business media on longer-term policy and strategy. Suzy BrokenshaConsumer Behaviour following Covid-19

Editor-in-chief FAIRLADY

Influential editor, thinker and trend-spotter Suzy Brokensha has had a long and distinguished career in South Africa’s Media Industry. Before starting out in magazines, Suzy lectured in Semiotics and Sociolinguistics at the AAA School of Advertising.

She has headed up international titles Cosmo and Marie Claire and is currently editor-in-chief of FAIRLADY, ‘the smart read for smart women’. Regarded as an intelligent and insightful observer of social mores, her own writing has garnered her two prestigious Mondi Awards (the Oscars of the Media industry), and she has steered her various publications to 12.

Under her leadership, FAIRLADY has grown and diversified, while still retaining its authentic, original and passionately South African voice.

Wicus Pretorius | Lifestyle trends resulting from Covid-19

Editor of Tuis/Home Magazine

Wicus Pretorius is the editor of Tuis|Home magazine, South Africa’s no.1 home and garden magazine. He’s worked in the media industry for 22 years, amongst others as deputy editor of Huisgenoot, and prior to that as editor of tvplus. He started his career in media at the Afrikaans daily Die Burger, with a two-year stint in Port Elizabeth as news editor of Die Burger Oos-Kaap. He is actually a trained teacher, but in his heart a wannabe chef. On the side he dabbles in public speaking, is an accomplished MC, and a lover of choral music and dogs. And as soon as international travel is possible again, a trip to a faraway land with interesting food will be top of his to-do list. Having worked in different media, picking up on trends and staying one step ahead of what audiences want, is what energizes him. Translating that into satisfying touch points is what thrills him. He calls himself a print native, and a digital explorer. But mostly forever a plan maker.
